PUT MY HEAD IN THE MOUTH OF AN ALLIGATOR

FALL OFF A CLIFF

Ok maybe I'm being a tad bit dramatic,  but seriously this is one of the scariest things I've ever done. I mean it's really like walking out in the street naked. Starting your own business, especially with art is very personal and calls one to bare their very soul.

It can be pretty lonely at times too, I mean the blogs that seem to go unread, the hours of editing, designing pages and layouts, gathering content, creating artwork, and the dreaded writing about yourself! I tell you, some days it feels like the head in the mouth of an alligator might have been the better option. One quick bite and it'll all be over! Art sales go through the roof!

All jokes aside, it is all for the love of art and the adventure that it is. This is a passion project for me and I promised myself that I would respect the journey, embrace the process, and go at my own pace. Some days I feel like everything should be done already, but then I look at all that I've done and accomplished this far. Not only with the website, but with the internal work that goes along with any artist/entrepreneur.

I am sure I feel the same as many artist, wondering if I'm ready, if im good enough, or what will everyone think? These questions are my reminders of my level of courage (or perhaps insanity depending on how you look at it) that I must have. So although it can be good to have that get 'er done mentality, I am allowing myself to be the turtle and not the hare in my own imaginary race.

Sure, I can pay someone to build the site and perhaps finish it quickly, (and zero judgement for those that do - in fact, I'd say you're pretty smart), but I choose to do it and feel every layer of its creation.

Although some may say I’m working backwards, my gallery will be the final phase as I reveal its grand unveiling. I'm sure it will be humble beginnings as most new (art) businesses start, but I am excited about all the art and adventures that await!

So if you'd like to join me on my crazy, wild, swirling adventures, get lots of inspiration, and see some art along the way, I invite you to be a part of my Creative Explorers Community.

Enter if you dare!
